I babysat for Ashley's nannying family last night...4 kids...2 of them are year old twins...cute. The kids weren't that good for me but...it happens and tey were cute so whatever.
But right now...I'm working on our first video package for class. I covered a poetry reading thing at Northeastern on Friday and tonight I had to go into the lab and look through all 30 minutes of footage I shot and pick out the best sound bites for a 2 minute story that I have to write. I would go more in depth but I doubt you care...so...ask me if youre really that interested. And tomorrow we're getting a voice coach to come in...and maybe she'll be able to teach me not to have a speech impediment.
Oh and another fun thing that we did the other day...we looked on the AP wire for a story that interested us...we were in groups of 4 and each of us had to write a 30 second story for radio. Valencia (an awesome girl in my class) and I then took those 4 stories that we wrote...and had to go into the sound booth and read them as though we were on air in the morning radiocast. It was fun...we only got to do one take though...and I stumble all the time so it was hilarious...but compared to the other groups...we were awesome.
It started like this...
Me: Good Afternoon I'm Morgan Kelly
Valencia: And I'm Valencia Wicker
Us: And this is your news update.
Then we proceeded to tell about the Red Sox victory, the presidential debate, a murder in boston and the Fed.
I'm learning a lot...although I am still skeptical of my professors and pretty soon, if they don't give me any guidelines like they keep doing...I'm gonna start doing whatever the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks I want. Thats right...I said it. Because you can't just let a class of idiots run free with a video camera and not give ANY criticism and then claim you're teaching...not possible.
So anyway...I might have gotten fired from one of my babysitting jobs...which would be a shame...and by fired I mean...she might not need me anymore...but whatever. We'll see..I'll let you know...nobody cares anyway but just in case you did.

maybe you dont have many directions since when you do become a journalist, you get alot of freedom. i say, if something creative hits you and you think its going to be a great article do it now!! while you are still a student. maybe you'll get an A for doing something newer and more creative than the other students.
im doing well. its 6am and im waiting to get my 3rd round of radiation. and i slept horribly since my legs keep hurting..its kinda like restless leg syndrome or soemthing. the nurse will give me something tonight to alleviate that. its hard because before all this i could just sleep and not wake up til morning!!!

hahah the subject "dirty...tired...full" is hilarious. your radio assignment sounds pretty cool! its cool that you are learning on this technology stuff too...i need to get on that!
