Witch Huntin'

This weekend...well...it started off terribly. Well not entirely...Friday I covered a Ramadan dinner at BU, which was really cool and I met a student who is actually an immigrant from Bangladesh. This is awesome because my final project for my class is on immigrant students so...I kinda killed two birds with one stone at the event. He will be an awesome contact to have throughout the semester.

Then Saturday..I babysat a little...Jordan was here...he watched football while I was gone...i felt bad leaving but then realized that this is what he does every Saturday so...he was completely content. At the end of babysitting, I started getting an even worse sinus headache than I had earlier...I've been fighting a sinus infection for probably 2 weeks now. On the drive home...it turned into a full blown migraine...meaning...I was inevitably gonna throw up. Sorry this is gross but looking back its also funny...especially if you know my history of gagging and throwing up...which is that I do both a lot and always haven since I was a baby. I got out of my car when I got to my parking lot...and puked everywhere. Again...looking back it is hilarious to me but really...migraines are the worst thing in the whole world. I was just walking as slowly as possible back to the apartment...trying not to look anywhere toward the light..then Jordan so very kindly (and because he knew he had no choice because I was gonna break down crying momentarily) massaged my neck for about 30 minutes...awful for him but it helped my migraine so much. anyway....for some reason jordan is always with me when I get one...which is bad for him but great for me because he is the only person who would ever rub my neck for that long. He's my best friend.

Anyway...so he got to meet my boston friends on Friday night...which was hilarious. then I went to see his friends at Brown on Saturday night after the headache incident...then last night...my friends and I went to Salem. I LOVE HALLOWEEN AND I LOVE SALEM!! 2 of my all time favorite movies are Hocus Pocus (based in Salem) and Casper. It was so cool to be in Salem where Hocus Pocus took place....we took a candle light tour on the "terror trail" which really consisted of this man named Herb taking $12 from each of us, making us walk to different street corners and creepy parking lots in Salem while he told us stories that we could have read in a book. But...nonetheless..it was cool to go. Salem is a crazy place...EVERY SINGLE STORE is a halloween store, a witch store, a costume place, a psychic reading place...its crazy. Its like that all year....so crazy. BUt i wanna go back next weekend to go into the SAlem witch museum. My friends also went to psychics...so weird...they paid $30 for 15 mintues....and came back with info like when they would meet their husband or wife, how many kids theyw ould have, what color hair their siblings have...i duno....cool I guess but my theory is that...they would tell me that I am not gonna be successful...and I would kindly respond "well, actually I am so...thanks but no thanks" and get up and leave. I'm gona make what I want to happen happen...regardless of what those tarot cards say...therefore, I did not give those ladies $30 (thats like 2 1/2 hours of raising babies that I do every week...no thanks...I'll spend it on food instead).
But it was cool and really fun to go with all my friends. I love seasonal things...any kind really.

And today I have officially started applying for summer internships. If anybody reading this knows anyone of any importance at any company that in any way involved writing, sports, PR, communications or ANYTHING...please tell them about me....and say that I will do ANYTHING to have any internship.
So far I'm definitely applying or have applied to the NFL, ESPN, Time Inc. which would be Sports Illustrated hopefully, the MLL, local tv stations in boston, NY and home, and random professional teams. BUt really I will do anything...anywhere I can get experience.

And...big day in Boston...Red Sox lost last night. Its really weird...you can tell in the city for sure that everyone is a little off today. Sad for them...but now I can refocus on sports I care more about...like hockey and football! Meanwhile...Cassel has been sacked 20 times now this season...the equivalent of how many times Brady was sacked throughout the whole year last year. Not looking good. And the Bruins are playing the Penguins right now...I'm not REALLY watching it that much because well...I had to watch the new episodes of Jon and Kate plus 8. But I really need to pay more and more attention to sports and regain my common knowledge of everything that is going on in the sports world....now that I'm up to date with more important htigns like politics and world news....I need to start blogging more about sports...so I will try to do that.

Well that was long...as always...I'll try to update more frequently and not as long.

hey throw up sister! i know i feel weird telling people the grossness of my hospital stay, but its part of life. was your throw up blue? that would have made it even more hilarious. you would have thought, what the heck? and just laugh...unless laughing makes your headache worse, then you would just be laughing about it in your head.

and about second string QB's, i dont follow sports but because the back up is in since brady is out, if hes not playing well its the fault of the coach! he should try to get all of his players game ready. thats what i hated about not playing in the game at bullis and kenyon, if i go in and mess up, its not entirely my fault. i got nervous being in. i should have been better prepared by the coaches and groomed to be in the game for a while.

sorry for the rant, but that always bothered me...oh man, and once another girl on the team at KC was like, well the coach also wants to win! you can win and let everyone play. i'm all about equality. as a coach at camp i would put everyone in equally. its about developement, people!, not just winning.

phew, that was long winded, just like you post. HEY-OH!

I relly like the throw-up thing since it reminds me of burping you when you were a baby. I used to call it the throwupburp. I liked it most when it used to run down my back.
Anyway, don't really care about Holloween or anything except when I used to put on my witch mask and scare the crap out of the little neighborhood kids. I remember scaring Josh and having him cry for 1/2 hour. I kinda felt bad.
Football - It is my theory that football games in the NFL are won on the offensive and defensive lines. If Cassel is getting sacked that much, the offensive linemen suck or Brady is paying them off. Just an idea...I could be wrong.
