So sorry that this is coming so late...and I won't even be giving a full write up today but I have some thoughts I want to write down.
With the new year comes a revitalized and refreshed perspective on the future and look back at the past year. There have been so many moments that i will never forget both positive and negative...but as always, I feel that everything happens for a reason. That is not to say that we as people don't have responsibilities. This is where I bring up the new years resolution.
Here it is: I will actively work toward becoming a better person every single day.
This sounds dumb... I know. But...its not as broad and vague as it may seem. I would explain the kind of person I want to be...but I just tried a bunch of times and had to erase it because it seems complicated and most of all, boring for those of you that read this. But I will lay out what I am going to do...
--Surround myself with good people.
--Have unyielding faith in myself and faith in God.
--Exercise at least 6 days a week. (I do this already sort of...but...I have a rejuvenated plan)
--Write more.
--Be more tolerant... i.e. let things go (I sort of stole this from Mrs. Burke and Jordan...sorry)
--Do what makes ME happy. (I'd like to add that caring for others, working hard and being "high strung" is INCLUDED in what makes me happy:)
--Worry LESS.
I understand that this isnt how resolutions generally work but I knew that this year...I wanted to be focused on my future. And I know for a fact that for me... all of these things are necessary to my future, to my well being and the well-being of those around me.
I'd also like to add that today I went to the Newseum and it once again revitalized my love for journalism and what I hope to do with my future. It was so fun and so informative. I strongly recommend it to anyone who lives in the DC area. It's amazing. And thank you to Mrs. Burke for taking me and Jordan.
I will post soon about Christmas, the Lil Wayne and TPain concert I went to (yes, that happened and it was awesome), Caps games, Me playing Ice Hockey, New Years Eve and everything else I've been doing.
