Ok... Twittering and/or Facebook status updates. I hate them. I think they're stupid and it seems more and more that it is a way for people to draw others into caring about what they are doing and most of all...they are bragging. I read some people's "facebook status" ew I can't believe I'm even giving enough credit to facebook to even talk about this on this blog...sorry that's lame...but really... this status update is a little similar to the following situations....
You're sitting in a class/room/office and someone near you exhales really loudly with a sigh. Me? I ignore this...fishing for attention is something I don't play into...its a stubborn thing. So they sigh...you don't say anything...they sigh again..you still don't say anything...they say "I'm soooo worn out"....you don't say anything....and then they just start telling you that they (in my situation) are hard at work on an article for the local paper that they were assigned to do because the editor only depended on them to do it...
Cool. That's awesome. You know what? I don't care, I'm not impressed and by you forcing this information on me, I am even more inclined not to care.
These are just my own thoughts and they probably don't make any sense but this whole twittering thing is like trying to make yourself famous. Hello? I only care what Britney Spears is doing right now...even if it means she's at McDonalds or something...if someone not famous said this or told me they were "thinking it's too cold in Boston" or "wondering who's going out tonight"...come on...spare me...tell somebody who cares. For instance...keep it to yourself where pointless thoughts are supposed to be. I can only imagine what people would say if I outwardly told them what I was thinking about all the time. They wouldn't care, that's for damn sure and I don't blame them. If you wanna know if anyone wants to hang out with you...PICK UP THE PHONE and call someone.
I Hate Technology. And the less you care about what I just said, the better probably. Thank you and goodnight.

aaaaahahahah i love it. so true though. okay, sometimes i update my facebook status but i hate it when people clearly do it as a cry for attention or as an avenue for bragging as you mentioned.
When I do it, I write things that have no relevance to anyone like "i saw a bald eagle today"...so who knows why i do it, maybe just sharing random info (although you have recently declared publicly that you care which makes me feel special :) hahaha)
