So, I'm "training" for a half marathon. This, in reality, means that I run and workout like I always do and then force myself to run for a longer amount of time on the weekends. The half marathon is on May 15th and if you know me at all, I am what one would call "nervous."
I hate being timed and I used to worry myself to the point of puking before any timed run in college. And don't get me wrong, I'm not out of shape or slow. I'm actually relatively fast and usually placed in the top 3 in college.
Anywayyyy, long story short, I decided to finally COMMIT to something and chose to train for a half marathon. I've been upping my weekend runs about 2 miles each week and I spent my Easter day running 10.2 miles and finished in 1:25! That's right, I wore a watch and survived the gusting winds and ran just over 8-minute miles and didn't have a complete panic attack! Wahoo!
