That said...I did the interview that I had no idea I needed to do. Luckily...Chris--refer to earlier posts to know who he is-all you need to know- extremely thick Boston accent, been married before, crazy and hilarious--he told me about a "friend" he had that worked at the mall. So...I trusted him...we took the T..then the Bus about 30 minutes to get his car after class yesterday---went to Medford, MA...to the mall...and Ali....his friend that he said he was 99% sure would give me an interview...said No. Go figure. Therefore, we went to another kiosk at the mall--saw another one of his friends from India--who had to leave...long story short I ended up interviewing his wife...had NO BACKGROUND about the woman and still at this point DO NOT understand what I'm supposed to cover a story on in the first place.
All in all...the woman was soooo cute and nice and I tried to get her to talk about the process of coming to America from Dubai with her husband (shes originally from the Phillipines) and...well...she has no clue what processes they had to go through so whatever..basically I'm gonna write a story about how the ethnic community in Boston is more welcoming than in New Hampshire (she talked abotu this for a while) and state that just because someone is from another country doesn't mean they can be a spokesperson for an entire race. Basically...I'm sassing the professor because I'm going to prove her wrong and show her that not everyone is caught up in race.
Sorry...this is boring and I'm not being thorough because I don't feel like talking about this assignment hahaha sorry.
So I'm working as a reporter on this one...and I'm gonna go with it and give this woman a voice and I'm pretty excited to do it in the end. But...I'm still annoyed with the professor. So whatever...

Great blog! If you want to write sth. about immigration- I can tell you stories:-) The bureaucracy is everywhere the same (US, Europe..). Since I'm not allowed to vote :-( (in a few years I will)- maybe you want to ask me questions about politics- what the damn german thinks about the elections:-)
The comment should be under "Gross"- sorry!
