Baby Sign post Number 2

Ok... i'm going to make a VIDEO of all of the new sign language I have learned over the last two weeks. For some reason, Caitlin has been hiding a lot of her knowledge from me and having been with her 6 days out of the last 2 weeks...I know SO MUCH. Megan...your babies are going to HAVE to learn sign language because it will be the ONLY way you'll know what they want. This will minimize freak outs on YOUR behalf, therefore relieving Mom from unnecessary mothering lessons. (BY THE WAY...this is NOT a new family...this is the one from the beginning of the year that I'm still with...in case anybody is confused about which of the 1789 families I sit for)

This stuff is NOT a fad and working for 6 families...i have learned what works and what doesn't. And you know what works? Having a baby throwing a tantrum and being able to ASK them what the heck is wrong! It's like a miracle. Instead of just trying endless options...you know exactly what the problem is because she can TELL me. AND it makes it much less of a lonely journey with the baby that doesn't talk.

These are the words that the baby uses on a REGULAR basis.

Help, More, Bottle, Milk, Hungry, Change (meaning diaper), Mommy, Daddy, outside, please, get down (like, I wanna get down from my high chair), All done (finished eating or playing etc), and then some not THAT helpful ones but AWESOME ones because she is so cute.... Car, train, Bird, Hat, Shoes, Running, Bike.

I LOVE IT. And words that Caitlin (5 year old) and I know.... well, she knows way more than me...but in addition to the ones listed before she's taught me...

Bath, Sunny, Rainy, Cloudy, Snowy, Running, Walking, Playing, Sleep, Grandma, Grandpa, socks, coat, blanket, bed, play, go, stop, train, airplane,.... and there may be more. I've always wanted to learn things in sign language and now I finally am. It's awesome...really really awesome. The baby's development is like unbelievable because she knows what words are when they're spelled out and can do the sign for them. Whatever, it may just be a game of copycat but she's really smart and these days, she's basically my best friend so... i'm clearly coming from a really sane place and you should all just be happy that I love my job and I am getting paid well to hangout with a baby genius...who is by the way... the CUTEST baby you'll ever see.

So Megan... don't knock it. This baby is 17 months old and can blow her nose already AND can do a somersault. She is perfect:) hahaha but anyway... I think my little cousins finally blew their noses at age 7 and I don't think I did until I was probably 15...but that's beside the point.
