Peace

I Love Nantucket. I experienced my first Hurricane there in 1990, rode my first boogy board, saw my first light house, rode my first ferry, ate my first fish (blue fish and I was forced haha), saw my first steam ship, stood on my first catwalk (in a hurricane haha) and rode in a car on the beach for the first time.

In early October, Jordan and I took a quick weekend trip to Nantucket to see my grandfather. The weather was perfect. It was clear, sunny and 65. I've spent a lot of time in the car with my grandfather all over the island and I could do it for hours and hours and hours. He is a bottomless pit of knowledge and stories (some made up haha). To me, he and one of his lifelong friends Ruthie could tell you the entire history of Nantucket Island.
Since Jordan had never been there (not including a one day trip he took years ago), we spent our days driving beach to beach and winding road to winding road.
Sconset (Sankity) Lighthouse was moved closer inland to avoid dropping off the side of the cliffs. We saw some of the most incredible houses that are being transferred from the cliffs inland. It's a complete mess trying to save all of the homes and relocate them to areas that are out of danger. Awesome.

Enjoy the View:)
