Now THAT's an Oreo Ice Cream Cake. |
Once I reached my quarter century mark a few weeks ago, my biological clock set off an alarm to my mental and physical beings and alerted them that it's my time for the meltdown of the century.

What am I doing with my life? Where am I going? What do I want to do? Who do I want to be? Why does life feel so hard sometimes? What am I really SUPPOSED to care about and where should my priorities lie?
A quarter-life crisis? Could it be? Yes, yes it is. But, over the past few days I think I'm finally getting my bearings again and I'm taking the plunge into a new role at work and get MUCH much closer to being a married lady:)
I've always been the type that knew exactly what I wanted to do in life but the older and more experienced I become, I continue to learn that I'm changing and those things don't HAVE to stay the same. I can adapt people. Just give me a second to digest. Despite my complete rigidness as a human being and my initial PANIC at the thought of any new change, I am learning! I will become a reasonable, rational adult one of these days. At least I hope so because I can't take the torture of my anxiety any longer.
Before I really lost it...I had a great Birthday! It was weeks ago on Memorial day weekend. I'm very behind. BUT, it was great. Jordan and I both took the day off of work that Friday and spent the weekend at my family's beach house in Ocean City, MD. While it would have been even better with the whole family there, the weekend was beautiful, relaxing and filled with lots and lots of Flo hugging. During the first 17 minutes of my 25th year, I was pulled over on Route 50 for speeding and got off with a warning. Great way to start my second quarter I guess.
Here's a few snapshots of what we did...

Lots of baby holding |
Lots of staring at the baby |
Fun in the Sun with Jordan. You're WELCOME for doing a great job on sunscreening your back. Maybe next time you'll be more still. |
Long runs before feeding the baby. |
An afternoon at Seacrets with Megan, Christian, Paulina and Geoff! Great crowd. |
Maryland at its Finest. Boy do I love it there. |
A DELICIOUS cookout by my Mom and Dad. |
Holding a screaming baby and being terrified of how tiny he is. |
More baby holding with Christian's Mom! |

Jordan and I took an adventure along coastal highway for about an hour looking for the PERFECT oreo ice cream cake. After lots of store hopping, we settled on this masterpiece from Baskin Robbins. After unsuccessfully trying to cram the entire cake into the narrow freezer, we chopped that baby in half so it wouldn't melt. |
Lots of changing baby Flo, who HATES to be changed. A bit dramatic my friend. |
Dear Baby Flo, you are very very very cute and I love you very much. Thanks for coming to my birthday party and sorry you couldn't have the cake:( |
Jordan and I traveled back to Boston Monday night and when I got back, there were two long cardboard boxes in our apartment. After Jordan had fully convinced me that nothing would be coming for me on this birthday (for good reason), he pulled out a BIG surprise!

Skis for BOTH OF US!!!!!! |
Jordan, you are the very best. Thank you so much for my birthday Skis. Thank you for dealing with my anxiety, tantrums, talking, worrying and most of all, thank you for making all of my days funnier and better than when I'm not with you.
Thank you to my entire family for a great birthday:) And of course, to all my friends who thought of me too. Much appreciated.
